Early Charles Flaig Custom Bolt Action Rifle on a Sako L61R Action

     Here is a very nice Late 1950's or very early 1960's manufactured custom bolt action rifle by Charles Flaig on a Sako L61R action in 264 Win Magnum caliber. This rifle features a 24" Douglas Premium barrel with a KDF style slim muzzle break and a bright, excellent bore. The Finland manufactured Magnum Sako action supports a Finland marked trigger housing assembly and a Bushnell Banner 4-12x40mm variable power rifle scope with a duplex reticle and an adjustable objective. The scope is attached using two piece scope bases and high rings. The barreled action retains 99% of its hot immersion blue finish with very little signs of wear. The trigger guard, floor plate and metal grip cap retain 99% of a bright gold colored finish with minor crazing on the floor plate. The pistol grip Monte Carlo style walnut stock with cheek rest, fleur de lis checkering, an ebony forend cap and Pachmayr vented black rubber recoil pad rates excellent. Mechanically, this rifle functions as nice as it looks. A great early custom rifle by a well known custom gun maker.
