Early Marlin Model 336 Lever Action Carbine in 30-30 Win.
Here is an early Marlin model 336 lever action carbine in 30-30 Win caliber with a 20" barrel having a very good bore. This carbine has serial # E2923 and was manufactured circa 1948. The metal surfaces retain an even mixture of thinning original blue finish with a brownish gray patina and some scattered specks / spots of older rust present. The oil finished pistol grip walnut butt stock and forearm rate very good except for a repaired crack behind both tangs. The rear sight elevator is missing along with the factory logo bullseye. Holes are present where a previous owner once installed sling swivels but have since been removed. A Williamss hammer extension has been installed. The butt plate has a small chip missing. Mechanically, this carbine function perfectly. A great truck gun in a popular caliber. {C&R}
