This Remington manufactured first variation checkered walnut standard weight fore-end assembly is for the earliest of model 1894 hammerless double shotguns in 12 gauge with the single thinner hook on the underside of the barrels and is in very good condition with moderate wear to the checkering, light dings and handling marks. This fore-end assembly consists of the walnut forend, first variation fore-end iron assembly and the fore-end catch assembly. (file photos)
