Frame - aka Receiver - 10 Gauge - Antique
This Remington manufactured frame (receiver) is for the Whitmore model 1878 Heavy Duck hammer double shotgun in 10 gauge and was manufactured prior to 1899. The overall condition is very good exhibiting a grayish brown patina with some scattered specks of pin prick pitting and/or rust staining. {Antique} (file photo)
