Peters High Velocity Box of 22 LR Ammunition

This Peters Cartridge Division manufactured blue, red and white cardboard box contains all 50 rounds of High Velocity 22 LR ammunition with nickel cases and is in good condition with light to moderate wear, an oil soaked appearance, a wrinkle on the back panel, and two small splits starting in the top, right corners. The right end flap is missing and the white portions of the box have turned tan with age. The ends of the cardboard ammo tray have come unsealed. This box displays the half diamond thumb cut on the right end of the box. The nickel casings display the "PE-1" headstamp and the lubrication on the bullets has turned white with age.

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced in 1947 and was produced until circa 1960.

Note: This box is similar to the Huegel # PCC-17 LR-1(b) variation. The difference observed is that the bottom of the box includes the words "to insure accuracy" in the first paragraph. This box displays the half diamond thumb cut. The nickel casings display the "PE-1" headstamp.
