Peters High Velocity Box of 22 LR Ammunition

This Peters Cartridge Division manufactured blue, red and white cardboard box contains all 50 rounds of High Velocity 22 LR ammunition with brass cases and is in good to very good condition with light to moderate edge wear, two wrinkles on the front panel, and a few small splits starting in the corners. The white portions of the box have turned tan with age and the ends of the cardboard ammo tray are starting to come unsealed. This box displays the half diamond thumb cut on the right end of the box. The brass casings display the "PE-1" headstamp.  (file photos)

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced in 1947 and was produced until circa 1960.

Note: This box is similar to the Huegel # PCC-17 LR-1(d) variation. The difference observed is that the bottom of the box does not match Huegel's. This box displays the half diamond thumb cut and there is NO message on the inside of the end flaps. The brass casings display the "PE-1" headstamp.
