This Remington manufactured receiver with scope mounting groove is for the model 540 X bolt action rimfire Target rifle and is in very good condition retaining most of its original blue finish with light wear and a few specks of surface rust. This is the only part on the model 540 X rifle that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines.
