This Stevens manufactured late variation receiver with trigger plate is for the later model 235 hammer double shotgun in 12 gauge and is in very good condition exhibiting a brownish gray patina with honest wear and traces of original case colors in protected areas. This is the only part on the model 235 hammer double shotgun that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines. (file photos)
Note: The late variation model 235 hammer double shotgun has the model marking on the belly of its receiver, is stamped on the left side of the receiver: "J. Stevens Arms & Tool Co. / Chicopee Falls, Mass. U.S.A." and will have simple scroll designs on the left and right sides.
