Remington 22 Thunderbolt Box of 22 LR Ammunition

This Remington manufactured green and gray/tan cardboard box contains all 50 rounds of 22 Thunderbolt Hi-Speed 22 LR ammunition with brass cases and is in good condition with moderate wear, dirt stains, and a few wrinkled corners. A spot of old price sticker residue may be present on the top panel. This box displays the black outlining of the words "22 THUNDERBOLT", the product code "TB-22" printed on both end flaps, and the address line "Bridgeport, Conn. 06602" printed on the bottom. The brass casings display the "U-3" headstamp and have scattered specks of tarnish/rust present.  (file photos)

Date of Manufacture: Huegel notes that the Thunderbolts were first mentioned in print in 1980, but based on our observation of date codes this style box was produced circa 1978 to 1981.

Note: This box is the Huegel # REM-30A LR-2 variation.
