     Here is an early Smith & Wesson model 53 double action revolver in 22 Jet caliber with serial #K439480. The barrel measures 6" and the bore rates excellent. This 4 screw revolver was manufactured prior to 1962 and the metal surfaces retain 98% original hot immersion blue finish. The hammer and trigger retain nearly all of their strong original case colors. The diamond checkered walnut target style grips rate very good with honest wear. The six cylinder chamber inserts are included. Mechanically, this revolver functions well. {C&R}
