Here is an early Thompson Center Contender single shot pistol frame with serial #68083 featuring the hole in the face of the frame, has the 3/4 etched scene of a Puma on both sides and would have been manufactured circa 1977. The metal surfaces on the frame retain about 97% original blue finish with honest wear. The trigger guard is mostly a grayish brown patina and features the second variation hammer assembly. The checkered walnut grip rates very good except for a couple 1 inch cracks behind the trigger guard. Mechanically, this pistol frame appears to function perfectly.
