Western Super-Match Mark II Box of 22 LR Ammunition
This Western Cartridge Company manufactured yellow, red and blue cardboard box contains all 50 rounds of 40 grain Super-Match Mark II 22 LR ammunition and is in very good condition with light wear. The top panel, front panel, and both end flaps display "22" without a period (.22) and the product code K1267R is printed on the front panel. The bottom of the box displays the trademark line "TRADE-MARKS REGISTERED IN U. S. PATENT OFFICE. MARCA REGISTRADA." and the company information "WESTERN CARTRIDGE COMPANY, East Alton, Ill., U.S.A. / Division of OLIN INDUSTRIES, INC.". The brass casings display the "2-1" headstamp and have scattered spots of tarnish present.
Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced in 1940 and was produced until the 1960's.
Note: This box is similar to the Huegel # WCC-51.2 LR-3(f) variation. The differences observed are that this box displays blue printing as opposed to black and this box displays "22" without the period on the front panel and both end flaps. This box features the #3 style end flap and the "L" style bottom. The product code K1267R is printed on the front panel.
