Link Assembly - Original
This Winchester manufactured link assembly is for the Golden Spike commemorative lever action carbine and is in very good condition exhibiting a mixture of thinning original blue finish with a grayish brown patina and having light wear. This link assembly consists of the link, friction stud, friction stud spring and the friction stud stop pin. (file photo)
Note: First variation link assemblies have a friction stud stop (roll) pin (not solid type) which mounts at the rear most section of the rear side flat on or behind the curve (see photo), has a flat top (not ramped like the 3rd variation), a tapered downward cut on the front section (see photo) and the notch measures approximately .445" high (.075" +/- higher than the front portion of the link).
