Winchester-Western Wildcat 22 Box of 22 LR Ammunition - Partial Box

This Winchester-Western Division manufactured white, blue and red cardboard box contains 35 of the original 50 rounds of Wildcat 22 40 grain high velocity 22 LR ammunition with brass cases and is in good condition with light wear, a crease across the length of the front panel, and moderate foxing / dirt smudges. The 1971 style child warning, which is NOT enclosed in a rectangle, is printed along the bottom edge of the top panel. This box may or may not displays 2 small stripes that run from the front panel edge to the bottom edge of the box. When present, these stripes are either red, blue, or a combination of red and blue and may be located anywhere along the bottom edge of the front panel. The brass casings display the "W-3" headstamp and have scattered spots of tarnish present. The lubrication on the bullets has turned white with age.  (file photos)

Date of Manufacture: This style box was introduced in 1971 and was produced until 1978.

Note: This box is similar to the Huegel # WW-1 LR-3(a) variation. The difference observed is that the printing on this box is in blue ink as opposed to black.
