Mossberg Model 144US bolt action Rifle in 22 LR
Here is a Mossberg model 144US bolt action rimfire rifle in 22 LR caliber with a 27 1/4" long heavy bull barrel having a very good bore. The rifle has serial number US0832. The metal surfaces retain about 96% of its original blue finish with light wear and possibly a few specks of surface rust. The pistol grip hard wood stock rates very good except for a 4" horizontal crack on the left side traveling forward from the safety lever. The black synthetic trigger guard has a crack located at the lower mounting screw hole. This rifle features a globestyle front sight, a Redfield receiver mounted peep sight and factory sling swivels. The detachable magazine is missing. A fine example of an early military rimfire rifle for the shooter or collector. {C&R} (see photos)
